2017 Public School Grant

The Ellen R. Hathaway Elementary School, New Bedford, is the first recipient of the NBEF Public School Grant. The students will create a cumulative text that focuses on the cultural diversity of their student body. Each grade will be assigned a specific chapter. In addition, all students in grades 3-5 will create a monthly school-wide newspaper with student friendly topics that will be posted on the school’s website.
