2017 Opportunity Grant

Buzzards Bay Writing Project, a site of the National Writing Project at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, has been awarded a grant for professional development opportunities for teachers, educational programs for school districts, camps for young writers during the school year and summer and courses through the University of Massachusetts. The mission of the BBWP is to improve the teaching of writing and literacy and improve learning in the nation’s schools and local schools. Access to high quality educational experiences is a basic right of all learners and a cornerstone of equity.
